Water tank

II'm laying beside a water tank in it's shade at the Rodrigues Spur road looking up at a chem trail in the blue sky.We are at mile 68 and today for the first time I saw one. Shit. Look up skywatchers.com for more info. It's a balmy 85 . We broke out our aluminum shield umbrellas today. Aren't we cool?
Good Eye left us today. She needed to attend to her sore big toe. She'll be back soon. Dirty Girl is now Burly Girl. Tidy Camper is still the same but her feet are filthy. She is going to hang onto her name. Please try to imagine how dirty we are; sweating in sand and sun, stuck with salt, dirt and wind particulates. I of course love it and Tidy Camper is holding her upper lip stiffly with her black fingers uncomplaining and smiling. Water is precious out here. My body doesn't mind at all. It's only my thinking that thinks clean is more preferable to dirty. Dirty, clean good bad it's all in my own head.
People are gathering around the tank like a herd of thirsty elephants Round a water hole in the Kalahari. We are resting. Waiting for the sun to take five. Talk to you all later. Burly Girl
