Slack-packing

Slack packing is when you hike without all of your gear ( just hiking with a lunch ) and you have somebody pick you up at the end.
Because of the burn last year they've closed off part of the PCT. We wanted to connect the part of the trail we were missing instead of hitchhiking and skipping.
This is hiking the road with Dirty girl and Topo's a.k.a. Shelly. Not quite as relaxing as dirt trail.
Now we are having breakfast at a roadside Café. That we walk to...6-7 miles down the road.
Now the girls are getting tired, it's getting late in the day were probably close to mile 16.
Trailer angel Stacy came and rescued us in a car and took us back to Idyllwild.
Back to our comfy digs.
Zero day (no mileage) on Wednesday.
This means we are repacking, resorting our gear and looking ahead on our maps... Searching for the next water sources.
